Nigeria The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested Auwal Abdulwahab, a 20-year-old groom, and three of his buddies for forcing their wife into unconsented sexual conduct.
According to SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command spokesperson, the event occurred in Tungo village, Albasu District, Sule Tankarkar local government, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m.
According to Shiisu, the recently married guy is accused of planning the rape of his spouse just a few days after their nuptials.
As to his statement, “the groom is accused of conspiring with his three friends, Nura Basiru, Muttaka Lawan, and Hamisu Musa, to enter their matrimonial home and coerce his bride into non-consensual sexual activity, while the said wife died in the process.”
According to him, the bride and her husband had apparently argued on marital relations prior to their wedding, according to the results of their preliminary investigation.
According to Shiisu, a group of police officers raced to the area as soon as they received the information, took the body to Gumel General Hospital for a medical examination, and the on-call physician verified her death.
According to him, the four suspects in the case have been caught and placed under arrest for a confidential inquiry, and the body has been given to her parents for burial.
