The song “December,” which Gyakie, a musician from Ghana, recently published, was inspired by something.

Singing about being let down by someone who meant a lot to her, the singer says she wrote the song in anguish.

Ghpage.com was watching Gyakie as she disclosed this during a recent TV3 interview.

Since this isn’t a song she merely picked up a pen and paper and started writing, she requested internet users to take it seriously.

It’s a song I wrote during one of my depressing periods,” she remarked. I’m not just making up lyrics; every line in the song is straight. “I was let down by a special someone.”

Remarkably, Gyakie said, “I even reached the point where there’s that (suicidal thoughts).” In terms of my sound, I thought I had to start over. I also had a sense of detachment from reality. I thus used that time to explore who I was from the beginning of the year.
