Michael Mensah Ayensu, a well-known DJ and event promoter in Ghana who goes by DJ Mensah in the entertainment industry, has related what he saw as a “spiritual” attack that happened during an event with rapper Sarkodie.
DJ Mensah, who also serves as Sarkodie’s official DJ, disclosed in an interview with Jay Foley on 3 Music TV that the rapper was attacked in Kumasi at his first Rapperholic event.
DJ Mensah claimed that Sarkodie had to pray with his family before ascending the platform since he was immobile during his performance.
DJ Mensah also shared how, right before Sarkodie was set to take the stage, his MacBook laptop unexpectedly died, lasting nearly twenty minutes.
“In Kumasi, during the inaugural Rapperholic,
Sark fell ill right before his performance at the first Rapperholic in Kumasi, right before I went on stage to help him get up. Unable to move, he was forced to join his family in prayer. We think it was an attack of some kind. Until I heard that he was ready, I had to perform for the audience.
